Madame Tussauds to unveil waxwork of iconic actress Sridevi in Singapore

LEGENDARY Indian superstar Sridevi will be unveiled as the latest waxwork attraction at Madame Tussauds in Singapore next month.

Madame Tussauds took to social media to confirm that the waxwork of the iconic film personality will be unveiled in the month of September.


The official Twitter handle of Madame Tussauds Singapore tweeted, “Happy birthday @SrideviBKapoor. As a tribute to the Bollywood icon, we are pleased to announce that we will be launching her wax figure in early September this year! Her figure is one of its kind in the world, and it’s an exclusive addition to Madame Tussauds Singapore.”

Husband, Boney Kapoor tweeted that he and the entire family will be part of the occasion at the unveiling.

“@MTsSingapore is honouring @SrideviBKapoor and her work by having her wax figure immortalised. I, along with my family, will be part of the occasion at the unveiling in Madame Tussauds Singapore at Ultimate Film Star Experience next month,” wrote the filmmaker.

Sridevi, who started her acting career at a young age, went on to star in over 300 films across multiple languages.

She is often regarded as the first female superstar of Indian cinema, who gave many male superstars a run for their money.

She died due to accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel. Her last onscreen appearance was in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero (2018).

Actor seeks protection against misuse of identity

Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights, raising concerns over the alleged unauthorised use of his name, image and likeness across online platforms.

The suit targets a range of content, including unauthorised merchandise, AI-generated material, deepfakes and allegedly defamatory posts that the actor claims have harmed his reputation and public image.
