Maniesh Paul in talks to host an upcoming Bollywood quiz show

With most of its fiction shows putting up a great show on TRP charts, ZEE TV is now gearing up to strengthen its position in the non-fiction space. The channel recently launched the next season of its immensely popular dance reality show, Dance India Dance. Judged by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis and Raftaar, DID 7 has opened to good numbers on the rating chart. And now we hear that ZEE TV is planning to launch a new game show, tentatively titled Banda Bada Filmy Hai.

Though the channel is keeping every detail related to the forthcoming show under wraps, we hear from some sources that Banda Bada Filmy Hai is a Bollywood quiz show where the contestants will participate in quizzes and the biggest Bollywood buff will be crowned the winner of the series.

According to sources, Banda Bada Filmy Hai will also feature a series of popular celebrities and comedians who will come to regale the viewers with their gags. Celebrities coming from Bollywood will be paired with participants to help them solve the quizzes. This sounds quite interesting. Isn’t it?

Since Banda Bada Filmy Hai is a quiz show, there must be a person to host it, right? Some sources inform that the channel has initiated talks with Maniesh Paul to host the show. When it comes to hosting, Maniesh is a popular name on Indian television. He has hosted a number of successful non-fiction shows in the past. If reports are to be believed, he is also gearing up to co-host the new season of Salman Khan’s celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye, on Star Plus.

More details are awaited though.
