Manjot Singh and Varun Sharma in Dinesh Vijan’s debut web show Chutzpah

Over the past few years, several established production houses from Bollywood have ventured into digital space. And the count is expected to go up only as the demand for high-quality content on OTT platforms has seen a substantial growth lately.

As filmmakers are trying to tell long-formatted stories like never before, producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has also decided to join the digital bandwagon by creating a digital content division of his production house. It is called Outsider Films.

According to reports, Vijan is set to launch his maiden digital production, titled Chutzpah. Set to premiere on SonyLIV, the web show features Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017) fame Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh in central characters.

Confirming the development, a source informs an online publication, “Dinesh Vijan is venturing into digital space with Maddock Films’ digital content division, Outsider Films. The producer is ready to set out his first production which will be web series titled Chutzpah, starring Fukrey stars Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh. The web series will stream on Sony LIV. The official announcement will reportedly be made soon.”

While more details on Chutzpah are expected to arrive soon, the audience is equally curious to know more about the third installment of Fukrey with Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, and Richa Chadha.

Director Mrigdeep Lamba confirmed the third installment of the franchise a long time ago, but there has been no development on that front ever since. The film is now expected to roll not before things regain normalcy.
