From attending lectures of our favourite teachers to bunking lectures and watching movies, from sitting in canteen doing nothing to last-minute preparations for exams in the library, some of the best memories of our lives are from our college days. Bollywood, time and again, has made us nostalgic about those young-carefree days that we spent in college.
Today, let’s look at the list of films that made us nostalgic about our college days…
3 Idiots
Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer 3 Idiots has to be the first one in our list. We all had a Rancho, a Raju and a Farhan in our college group. And how can we forget Chatur, the guy who was excellent at mugging up things without understanding it? 3 Idiots surely took us back to our college days.
Kuck Kuch Hota Hai
Well, it was Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that made us believe ‘pyaar dosti hai’ (love is friendship). The cool dude, Rahul, the tom-boy Anjali, and the gorgeous Tina made us nostalgic about our college days. From celebrating friendship day to dancing at college festivals, this Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer had everything.
Main Hoon Na
Shah Rukh Khan for a secret mission becomes a college student when he is in his 30s. Well, Main Hoon Na is one of the most entertaining films made by Farah Khan and the choreographer-turned-director clearly impressed us with her narration in the film especially the way she showcased the college life. Remember the prom night and the song Gori Gori.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
We all had groups in college, but even in that group, we had one best friend without whom we would not like to go anywhere. Aditi and Jai from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na showed us the true meaning of best friend. While they end up falling in love with each other, the whole movie concentrated on the friendship the two shared.
Rang De Basanti
A filmmaker from overseas comes to India to make a movie on Bhagat Singh and casts these young college students in her movie. Soon, these college students start a fight against the system and become revolutionaries. Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, and others gave a fantastic performance in Rang De Basanti.
Ishq Vishk
Shahid Kapoor made his debut with Ishq Vishk and stole everyone’s heart. The movie also starred Amrita Rao and was a super hit at the box office. From college romance to college festivals, Ishq Vishk showcased everything that happens in college. Well, we also loved the cafeteria shown in the film. It was just so cool!
Chhichhore
Now soon we will witness one more film on the big screen that will surely make us nostalgic about college life. We are talking about Chhichhore. The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles will hit the screens on 6th September and after watching the trailer we can say that the movie will take us down on a memory lane.
