My top 10 ways to attract more love - Kristin Taylor

Set the intention: We are more powerful than we realise, so setting the intention to receive more love has a greater effect than we might think. Sitting quietly, firmly state to the universe, out loud or in your mind, “I intend to attract and receive more love into my life now. Thank you.” It helps if you visualise your words having power and that you have created a change just by saying them.

Remember that you are love: Nothing separates you from the essence of love. Spiritually, you and everything in the universe are made of the same substance - love. There’s no higher energy in the universe. It’s so much easier to attract more love when we remember that we actually are made of it, in human form.

Open your heart: It’s a great daily practise to sit quietly with your hand on your heart, taking deep breaths. Imagine sending your energy into your heart and intend to feel its wisdom. When interacting with others, stay in this heart-centered place. You will be amazed at how many beautiful experiences you will have and how many friendly, loving people you will meet.

Connect to love daily: It’s wonderful to set the intention to see love everywhere and also to radiate love out of your being. You will start to see random acts of kindness between strangers and many of your interactions will have sweetness to them. You will experience more moments of heartfelt connection with others. You’ll also see the beauty in your experiences, feeling happier and more content.

Remember to be thankful (for everything): Those who regularly practise gratitude have a secret - they are love-attracting ninjas. Gratitude is a magnet for love. So, if you want to attract more love into your life, it’s a great idea to focus on what you’re thankful for. Making a top 10 gratitude list each morning is a wonderful way to do this. It’s also a great idea to practice receiving, even small gestures from others, with gratitude. To attract more love, we must allow good to come into our lives.

Never forget that you’re a child of the universe: You have a whole team of spiritual helpers, including angels, on your side. The universe itself is a beautiful and magical place, always conspiring for your highest good. Whether you have faith in this or not, even allowing for the possibility that you are safe and supported by invisible friends can have amazing results.

Do something different: When you feel stuck, it’s so tempting to continue in that pattern. Yet, it’s much more effective to break that energy, whether by meditating, breathing deeply or getting outdoors. Activities like these will give a broader perspective and help you to stay centered, allowing you to more easily attract love.

Allow yourself to be happy: It’s so important to do things we love and yet we don’t always allow ourselves to do them. It’s a good idea to make a list of all of the things that enhance your happiness. Start with the simple things, and make it a point to do them. It’s only natural that when we’re happier, we invite more positivity and love into our lives.

Be around good friends: Like attracts like. When you wish to attract more love into your life, it helps to make sure that those already in your life are positively contributing to it. You know deep down who is enhancing your life by how you feel in their presence. Make a list of these friends and consciously spend more time with them. Try seeing the others less often or not at all, depending on your comfort level. If you don’t have a lot of supportive, loving friends, maybe it’s time to start a new class or some other way to meet like-minded people. Allow yourself to be inspired as to how.

Practice self-love and self-care: You can only attract more love if you first give it to yourself. It’s so important to attend to your needs and practice good self-care. If you have an issue with self-love (as most people do), it’s vital to focus on this until you feel a change. Take care of your needs and remember to never criticise or judge yourself, ever. Forgive yourself, knowing that you’ve always done the best you could in every situation. The more you love yourself, the more love you will receive from the universe.
