Nawazuddin Siddiqui finds leading lady for Bole Chudiyan

Talented actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was most recently seen in filmmaker Ritesh Batra’s Photograph (2019), opposite Sanya Malhotra, is about to begin work on his next film titled Bole Chudiyan. The movie marks the directorial debut of Nawaz’s younger brother, Shamas Siddiqui.

As we all know that Bole Chudiyan was announced a couple of months ago. Right after the official announcement of the film came the news that popular television actress Mouni Roy, who successfully transitioned from television to films and made her silver screen debut with the Akshay Kumar starrer Gold (2018), was set to play the female lead opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the movie.

However, as the film was gearing up for its production, the news emerged that Mouni Roy had walked out of the project. Her spokesperson said that the actress had never signed the project on the dotted line, while the producer of the Bole Chudiyan accused Roy of unprofessionalism.

Ever since Mouni Roy opted out of the film at the last moment, the makers had been trying to find her suitable replacement. The latest we hear that the team has finally found the female lead for Bole Chudiyan. According to reports, debutant director Shamas Siddiqui and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are happy with their newest find as she does not need any acting workshops to get into her character in the film. The makers will be announcing her name soon.

Bole Chudiyan, also starring filmmaker and Anurag Kashyap in an important role, is scheduled to enter cinemas towards the end of the year.
