Nitesh Tiwari keen to approach Aamir Khan for the role of Narayana Murthy?

According to reports, well-known filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, whose credits include Nil Battey Sannata (2016) and Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), has locked the idea to base her next film on. She has just finished her next directorial Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi in principal roles. The movie is scheduled to hit the silver screen on 10th January, 2020.

While Panga is still five months away from its theatrical release, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has started planning for her next directorial offering. Buzz has it that she has decided to make a biopic based on the life of N. R. Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys, and his wife Sudha Murthy.

The latest update on the project is that filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, who is also the husband of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, is keen to approach superstar Aamir Khan for the role of Narayana Murthy. Nitesh is co-producing the untitled film with Mahaveer Jain. Since the filmmaker has directed Aamir in Dangal (2016) and shares a close relationship with the superstar, he wants him to headline the Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial.

“It would be an interesting project for Aamir to do. He and Nitesh came up with a masterpiece like Dangal, and the story of the Murthys is something that a lot of people aspire to emulate,” a trade source says. Another source close to the development informs, “The casting and the scripting of the film is in progress”.

Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari is looking forward to the release of his upcoming directorial venture Chhichhore. Produced by renowned producer Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie has Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. Chhichhore is set to release on 6th September, 2019.
