Nitesh Tiwari responds to rumours of casting Hrithik Roshan in Ramayana

After the humongous success of Dangal (2016), filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is ready with his new film Chhichhore. The director is currently busy promoting the movie, which has Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.

Right after the release of Chhichhore, Nitesh Tiwari will move on to work on his next Ramayana, which will be co-directed by Ravi Udyawar of Mom (2017) fame. Rumours have been rife in B-town lately that Tiwari has roped in superstar Hrithik Roshan to play an important role in Ramayana. Not just Roshan, but Deepika Padukone’s name has also been linked to the big-ticket project.

However, in his latest interview to an entertainment portal, Nitesh Tiwari quashed all rumours and stated that his team is still working on the script. “No, we are still working on the draft, we will not move and ask anyone till we are not happy and sure of what is there on the table and what exactly we are going to do. The casting and other aspects come in later. Sridhar Raghavan is writing the screenplay and once we know where we stand on paper only then we would be moving ahead with the rest of the things.”

Talking about the film, Tiwari had earlier said, “I am looking forward to work in Ramayana, something that I am really excited about. Once done with Chhichhore, I will go back to start working for Ramayana. It is a challenge for me as I have a sense of responsibility to bring the project in its true form of glory for the country.”

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Chhichhore is slated to roll into theatres on 6th September, 2019.
