Prabhas responds to rumours of Baahubali 3

After devoting four years of his life to visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), megastar Prabhas is now gearing up for the release of his next film Saaho.

The action entertainer, which stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead, has created great pre-release buzz among the audience. And if trade pundits are to be believed, the Sujeeth directorial is set to smash several box-office records upon its release.

While Prabhas is currently busy promoting Saaho all across India, rumours have emerged about the third instalment of the Baahubali franchise. Some media houses have recently reported that Baahubali 3 could be on the anvil.

However, when Prabhas was asked about the same, he said he has no idea whether or not Baahubali 3 is happening. “If S.S. Rajamouli wants to do part 3, he should get excited. He only gave me 6 scripts, so he would have done some 10-14. We almost finished 60% there. I know he had the script in mind for 5 years. But I don’t know if Baahubali 3 will happen or not,” said the talented actor.

Prabhas also spoke about his experience shooting for the two instalments of the Baahubali franchise. “I was very comfortable giving 4 years to Baahubali. Towards the end, I felt I want to do something else also. Sometimes I forget I was part of the project, it was that surreal.” Further talking about his characters, the actor added, “Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali will never get out of my system,” he concluded.

Saaho, also starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Chunky Panday, is scheduled to release this Friday, 30th August 2019.
