Priyanka Chopra Jonas gets her wax figure at Madame Tussauds London

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, India’s international star, has become the latest celebrity to join A-Listers at the prestigious Madame Tussauds, London. The museum, which is known for housing wax figures of several high-profile celebrities from all across the world, today lifted the curtain on its first-ever figure of Priyanka, ending months of speculation.

The Quantico star has been working closely with Madame Tussauds’ team on the epic four-figure project since 2018, beginning with a private sitting at Priyanka’s New York City apartment. Fans have been waiting to see the hotly-anticipated London arrival since the first figure was revealed earlier this year in Priyanka’s adopted hometown of New York. Today, Madame Tussauds London joins its sister sites in Sydney and Asia in unveiling their figures to long-awaiting fans.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Chopra Jonas said, “I love London. It has such an energy and spirit to it. Working with Madame Tussauds London’s team has been so much fun. It’s incredible to think that my fans can now meet my figure in one of my favourite cities in the world.”

Priyanka’s figure is sure to make an impression in the Baker Street attraction’s Party area. Styled to match the actress’ appearance at the 2017 Golden Globes, Priyanka’s figure will stand out in its exquisite gold sequin gown by Ralph Lauren. The only update to the look is the addition of replica diamond wedding and engagement rings in a nod to her newlywed status.

Steve Davies, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said, “Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an obvious choice as the latest addition to our star-studded line-up. We welcome guests from around the globe each year and we’ve seen Priyanka’s fan base continue to grow worldwide. It’s been an honour to work with Priyanka and we’re sure fans will be excited to meet her new figure at Madame Tussauds London.”

Visitors to Madame Tussauds London can join Priyanka in the attraction’s Party area from today, where they can sip their tipple of choice alongside Priyanka and her fellow A-Listers at the fully licensed Tussauds Bar. Besides London, fans can also meet Priyanka’s figure at Madame Tussauds sites in New York, Sydney and touring Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has just finishing her comeback Hindi film The Sky Is Pink. Also starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in principal roles, the Shonali Bose directorial is scheduled to enter theatres on 11th October, 2019.
