Priyanka Chopra on equation with Salman Khan post Bharat exit

Having last worked together on the 2008 film God Tussi Great Ho, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra were set to team up for Bharat after a decade. PC was psyched up about the reunion with the superstar. However, as the movie mounted the shooting floor, the Bajirao Mastani (2015) actress walked out of the project to get married to pop sensation Nick Jonas.

Ever since the incident happened, there have been cold vibes between Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Khan seemed so miffed with the last-minute exit of the actress that he did not waste any moment to take a dig at her. “Over Bharat, she chose the USA in the nick of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually, people leave their husbands for a film like this,” Khan had said during a media interaction.

Recently, when Priyanka Chopra was asked about her present equation with Salman Khan, she said that there is never an issue with him. “The only thing I would say is that if there was a reaction required you would have had it by now. Salman is amazing. I have always admired him. He came for Nick (Jonas) and my reception, we went to his house, I am really close to his sister (Arpita Khan). So, there is never an issue with him,” said the global star.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is presently busy promoting her upcoming Hindi film The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Based on true events, the Shonali Bose directorial is scheduled for its theatrical release on 11th October. The movie marks Chopra’s return to Hindi cinema after a gap of three years, as the actress was last seen in the 2016 cop-drama Jai Gangaajal.
