Raghu Ram and ex-wife Sugandha Garg give new meaning to divorce

Raghu Ram of Roadies fame and his wife Sugandha Garg ended their 10-year marriage in 2016, but it took the couple more than a year to officially part ways.

Ram and Garg had an amicable separation and to celebrate their 10 years together, Ram took to his Instagram account to post two adorable pictures -- one from the day they got married and the other from when they called it off.

The caption to these pictures read: “Some things never change. Like the love I have for you. Like the fun we have always had together. Nothing ends. It changes and the next phase begins #FriendshipGoals #DivorceGoals."

Garg immediately responded saying it was indeed a pleasure to spend a decade with him.

"It’s been a pleasure. All of it.I got you boo. #relationshipgoals #divorcegoals," she wrote.

What led to their separation was the realisation that their relationship had changed over the years. The duo might not be a couple anymore, but they are still the best of friends, Ram said in an earlier interview. "We have prioritised our friendship over everything else. I am happy about that, and so is she,” he said, adding that the time they spent apart was much more than the time they spent together. "It’s better to be in each other’s lives as friends instead."

Ram, who is currently seen in Colors TV show Entertainment Ki Raat, became a household name thanks to MTV reality show Roadies. Garg was seen in films Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Tere Bin Laden.

Interestingly, Ram and Garg aren't the only celebrities to redefine divorce by being a part of each other's life.

Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan, Aamir Khan and  Reena and Arbaaz Khan-Malaika Arora have all remained friends even after they got divorced.

In Hollywood, Gwyneth Paltrow- Chris Martin, Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner and Hilary Duff and Michael Comrie have all proved that divorce doesn't mean the end of a beautiful relationship.
