Rajkummar Rao confirms being in talks with Karan Johar for future collaborations

It has been a while since rumour mill has been in overdrive suggesting a coming together of actor par excellence Rajkummar Rao and movie maven Karan Johar for a film. Both creative geniuses are known to be best at what they do and the audience is really waiting for them to collaborate on a project.

In his recent interview, Rajkummar Rao confirmed that both are keen to join hands with each other. However, they are yet to sign any film."Karan and I are very keen on working with each other. But I haven't really signed anything as of now. Also, I don't think it happens these days that you sign a three-film deal with banners, especially with actors. Maybe it still happens in case of directors. I have never gone for signing a two or three-film deals with production houses. We share a script, we like it, we end up doing it, that's how it works. But I would love to work with him. We've been talking to each other for a while now. It should happen late next year," said the actor.

Speculation was rampant lately that Rao was in talks to play one of the male leads in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. However, the actor clarified that things did not work out well for both of them and hence he could not do the film. "About Dostana 2, I met Karan. Of course, I have immense respect for him but this one did not work out but I am sure very soon you will hear something very exciting from both of us," Rajkummar signed off.

Rajkummar Rao, meanwhile, is looking forward to the release of his film Judgementall Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut. The movie releases on July 26. He is also shooting for Maddock Films’ Roohi-Afza with Janhvi Kapoor. After Judgementall Hai Kya, his next release will be Made In China.
