Randeep Hooda announces release date of his Hollywood debut Extraction

Actor Randeep Hooda, who is known for delivering rousing performances in several Bollywood movies including Murder 3 (2013), Highway (2014) and Sarbjit (2016), is gearing up to make his Hollywood debut.

The talented actor will be seen playing an important role in the forthcoming Netflix original film, Extraction. In addition to Hooda, the much-awaited film also features Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. Helmed by Sam Hargrave, the movie boasts of the screenplay by Joe Russo.


On Tuesday, Randeep Hooda took to social media to announce the release date of Extraction. “20 years after I thought I’ll make a showreel to work over there. It finally happened. So grateful to the most amazing crew and cast. It is a dose of Extra Action and emotion,” wrote the actor.

The story of Extraction revolves around Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a black-market mercenary who sets out on the deadliest extraction of his career when he is enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. The movie was initially titled Dhaka, but now the makers have renamed it as Extraction.

Apart from Randeep Hooda and Chris Hemsworth, Extraction also features Manoj Bajpayee and Pankaj Tripathi in important supporting characters.

On Bollywood front, Hooda is working with superstar Salman Khan on Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Also starring Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in key characters, the movie is being directed by Prabhu Deva. Though Radhe is scheduled to hit the screens on Eid 2020, the makers may decide to postpone its release date in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Northern Ireland approves extension of post-Brexit trade rules
