Ranveer Singh to live with Kapil Dev as part of his preparations for 83

Ranveer Singh, as we all know, can go to any extent when it comes to perfecting his parts for his movies. Just look at his roles in blockbusters like Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018) and Gully Boy (2019), the actor crept into the skin of his characters and made them memorable for a lifetime!

Keeping the trend going, Singh is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming film 83, which is based on India's historic win against West Indies at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Singh will be seen in the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in the movie.

The actor was recently in Dharamshala where he attended vigorous training sessions and learnt how to play cricket like a pro. But it looks like that training sessions in Dharamshala were not enough for him and hence the actor is now planning to live with Kapil Dev for 10 days and observe him closely.

According to reports, the talented actor will be heading to New Delhi tomorrow to live and train with the legendary cricketer.

“I’m looking forward to spending more time with Kapil sir. He is kind, generous, warm and funny. I had a memorable two days with him in Dharamshala. I’m going to spend more time with him in Delhi to learn more about him. It’s a first-of-its-kind exercise in my acting process where I’ll be studying the man himself in the flesh for my onscreen portrayal of him. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to learn about life from a true legend,” Ranveer Singh confirmed the development.

Besides Ranveer Singh, 83 also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem, Saahil Khattar, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil and Ammy Virk to name a few. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan and will roll into cinemas on 10th April 2020.
