Richa Chadha on equation with Panga co-star Kangana Ranaut

Richa Chadha, who was most recently seen in Amazon Prime Video Original Inside Edge 2 (2019), is presently busy promoting her next film Panga. Helmed by ace storyteller Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the upcoming sports drama also features three-time National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.

As we all know that Richa and Kangana both subscribe to different political ideologies. Did the two ever discuss politics on the sets of Panga? “We never discuss politics on a film set and it really does not matter as an individual which political ideology we subscribe to. I am not here to change anyone's beliefs and what their politics are. Everyone has their own beliefs and I am vocal about things that I strongly believe in,” says Richa Chadha.

The actress goes on to add, "When it comes to Panga, we were making a film. We did that peacefully, professionally and in sync with the vision of the director. And there is no doubt about the fact that Kangana is a brilliant actress."

"I am someone who has worked in films with different actors and when we actors work in a film, we all come together professionally to put our effort to make a film, tell a story. That is the intention and in Panga, too. Kangana and I came as two professionals acting in a film. It is that simple," she explains.

Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and produced by Fox Star Studios, Panga also features Jassi Gill and Neena Gupta in important roles. The much-awaited film is scheduled for its theatrical release on 24th January, 2020. It is set to lock horns with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s much-publicized dance-flick Street Dancer 3D.

  • The studios say the lawsuit is about protecting copyrighted characters, not preventing the development of AI.

Midjourney has argued that the Hollywood studios suing it over copyright infringement may be using artificial intelligence in ways similar to those at the centre of the legal dispute, as it seeks broader access to their internal AI records.

In a new court filing, the AI image-generation company asked for Disney, Universal and Warner Bros. to produce more documents during the discovery process, saying the material could strengthen its defence.
