S. S. Rajamouli plans to drop new teaser of RRR in May?

After dropping a few posters and the first teaser of his forthcoming directorial offering RRR, filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli is reportedly planning to release yet another teaser of the much-awaited period drama.

According to a publication, Rajamouli will unveil the new teaser of his film on 20th May, to coincide with the birthday of Jr. NTR who plays one of the male leads in RRR. It is worth mentioning here that the first teaser of the film was revealed on another lead actor Ram Charan’s birthday in March.

“Rajamouli is a perfectionist, he wants to convey a good impression about his film, so he is coming up with strong promotional videos,” a source close to the development informs the publication.

With the ongoing lockdown bringing the entire film industry to its knees, fans are constantly looking for fresh content. It now seems director S. S. Rajamouli will be doing just that by dropping a new promo of his hugely anticipated film in May.

RRR is a fictional period drama set in India during the 1920s. The film revolves around the inspiring journey of two of India’s freedom fighters - Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

Apart from Jr NTR and Ram Charan, Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt also play important characters in the movie. Several international actors have also been roped in to essay pivotal characters in the high-profile project.

After facing multiple delays in its release, RRR was slated to enter theatres on 8th January, 2021. But since all shooting activities have come to a grinding halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the makers may decide to postpone the film by a few weeks or months.
