Saif Ali Khan’s character in his next revealed

We have earlier reported that Saif Ali Khan is teaming up with NH 10 fame filmmaker Navdeep Singh for a period film set against the backdrop of a famous war fought in North India. Today, we are going to tell you more about the character the Omkara actor plays in the movie. According to sources, Khan will be seen in the role of a vengeful Pathan in the film which is being financed by well-known filmmaker Anand L Rai under his home banner, Colour Yellow Productions.

When the news about the project had hit the headlines for the first time, it was rumoured to be titled Battle of Buxar. After that, it was reported that the film will be called Dussehra, followed by Kaptaan. However, if a close source is to be believed, the project is still untitled. “The project lost out on two titles, Soorma and, more recently, Hunter, since both are registered by other productions already,” reveals the source.

After finishing the first schedule recently, Saif is currently in Devgarh, Maharashtra, to kick off the second schedule. As per the source, the second schedule involves a lot of action sequences for which Khan has trained himself in sword-fighting and knives play. “Saif began training in sword-fighting and knives play last month. The unit will be shooting in the sanctuary and hills of Kali Ghati, where there are many bridges and tunnels constructed by the British. Kunjbihari Mandir, famous for the many bats that live inside the roof of the structure, is in the heart of the town,” the source says.

Besides Saif Ali Khan, the yet-to-be-titled film also stars Zoya Hussain, Manav Vij and Deepak Dobriyal in significant roles.
