Shaheer Sheikh in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2

One of the most popular television actors Shaheer Sheikh, who rose to fame after playing the male lead in shows like Mahabharat and Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, is in talks to star in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. If the handsome actor gives his nod to the soap, he will play the iconic character of Anurag Basu in it. The popular character was originally played by Cezzane Khan in the prequel, Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

According to reports, Sheikh is the first actor Ekta Kapoor has approached to play the male lead in her show which will hit the airwaves on Star Plus, the same channel which aired the original show for almost 7 long years. Some reports also claim that Sheikh's Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi co-star Erica Fernandes is in talks to play the female lead.


Kasautii Zindagii Kay was a romantic drama which was aired from 2001 to 2008. It was a weekly episodic show that revolved around the love story of Anurag Basu and Prerna, essayed by Cezzane Khan and Shweta Tiwari, respectively.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay is expected to hit the airwaves in mid-2018.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
