Shreyas Talpade confirms fiction debut on TV

A couple of days ago, we had informed readers that Hindi and Marathi film actor Shreyas Talpade, who is best remembered for playing Laxman in Rohit Shetty’s successful film franchise Golmaal (2006), is gearing up to make his fiction debut on television.

Now, the actor has himself confirmed the news, saying that he is really excited for his upcoming show, titled My Name Ijj Lakhan.


"I am very excited to make my fiction television debut with My name Ijj Lakhan. I am looking forward to playing the role of Lakhan and I hope that viewers love me in this all-new dynamic action-emotional-comedy avatar on television," Shreyas said in a statement.

The dramedy show revolves around a young goon who is trying his best to reform his ways. Talpade plays the goon who believes that only rough and tough people can survive in this world, while his father keeps telling him that all is good in the world. How Laxman has a change of heart and what all he ends up doing to become a gentleman is what the audience will see in the show.

My Name Ijj Lakhan is expected to hit the airwaves on SAB TV in 2019.

A headline set shaped over time

Sabrina Carpenter has described her upcoming performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the most ambitious of her career so far.

Speaking in an interview with Perfect Magazine, the singer said the 2026 show has allowed her more time than usual to develop ideas, with planning beginning around seven months ago. She noted that the extended timeline has given space to shape the production in greater detail than her previous tours or festival appearances.
