Sister of British-Indian man, who went missing in Paris, makes fresh appeal

Sister of British-Indian man, who went missing in Paris, makes fresh appeal

THE SISTER of British-Indian native of Lemington Spa, who went missing in 2013 in Paris, has made a fresh appeal to seek answers about her missing brother.

Sanjiv Kundi was last seen in Leamington on September 25, 2013, before he traveled to Paris via Eurostar and never returned home from what he had told his family would be a sightseeing trip. He was 41 at the time.

The family has had no contact with the man since then. His bank cards remain unused.

While speaking on the "Missing Podcast," Kundi’s sister Pip said that she believes someone knows the answer.

“I want to hope that it triggers something in somebody and they come forward and at least give my parents and the rest of my siblings some peace to move on with their lives," she said.

Pip urged listeners to pick up the phone or just email if they have any clue or any lead in the matter, even anonymously if they want.

“Any information may lead us to know a little bit more about what happened, if he needs help, or if he's okay,” she said.

Sanjiv was said to be out of work and staying with his family for some time when the incident happened. As per his sister, he was also prescribed medication to help him through, but by 2013 things were improving. The family was happy about his plans for the Paris trip.

Sanjiv left his home on Sept. 25, 2013, for France. He caught the 4.22 pm train from London St Pancras. He was last seen at the Gare du Nord on the same day. However, he took more time than usually required for this journey, as per Pip.

There was another sighting of Sanjiv back at Paris' main train station almost 13 hours later when he came to book his return ticket, something on which Pip raised questions in the podcast.

Sanjiv’s family thought he was having a good time in Paris and got worried only when there was no contact from him for days.  They reported him missing on Oct. 15.

Pip struggled to comprehend on the podcast how a man of Sanjiv’s tall, broad-shouldered stature was not sighted by anyone.

“I just find that hard to believe. For me, somebody somewhere knows what's happened.”
