SONY TV to end Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai

Sony Entertainment Television, one of the leading general entertainment channels in India, has decided to discontinue its popular fiction show, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. If reports are to be believed, the show will beam its final episode in the month of August. Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, the series hit the airwaves on 5th September, 2017.

Set in the 1990s, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai grabbed a lot of eyeballs primarily because the audience enjoyed the nostalgia brought on by it. It is inspired from the real-life love story of producers Shashi and Sumeet Mittal, played brilliantly by Ashi Singh and Randeep Rai respectively. The show has made both the actors a household name across the country.

According to an entertainment portal, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai will come to its natural end. The story is in its last phase where the lead couple will find their calling. “The story is presently in its last phase and it will come to a logical end. In a natural progression, Sameer and Naina will realize their strength as writers and understand the importance of working together as a team. This will mark the end of the show,” a source reveals to the portal.

Confirming the development, actress Ashi Singh said, "Yes, this is very emotional news and I could not handle it personally when we were told of it yesterday (July 12). It is true that our show is going off air next month.”

The actress broke down when she got to know that the show was going to end. "There are so many things that I want to tell the fans of Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. We all know that they are very emotionally attached to the show. I could not control my tears when I got the news. I could not speak to anyone after that. I will soon get in touch with the fans. I know they are so attached to the show. Having said this, the show had to end at some point of time," Singh added.

Ever since the news came out that Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai is nearing its completion, fans of the show have taken to social media to express their disappointment. They have been requesting the makers to not end the show. However, the final call has been taken.
