SRK, Kajol & Rani to grace the first episode of Koffee With Karan 6

Buzz has it that hit filmmaker Karan Johar is returning on television with the 6th season of his immensely popular celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan. And if reports are to be believed, the opening episode of the latest season of the show could see the reunion of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

Yes, if things fall into place, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji will grace the first episode of Koffee With Karan 6. Though nothing has been confirmed, it is being reported that the trio could come together for the first episode, to be aired in October, which is the month that also marks 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which was helmed by Johar.

A source reveals to a popular film magazine, “One may argue that the combination lacks novelty, but it scores on nostalgic value. The line-up is yet to be drawn. It’s still in the brainstorming stage. A lot of names are being tossed around and it’s too early to say”.

Earlier, there were rumours that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma would be the first guests on the show but latest reports suggest that the makers failed to bring them onboard due to their hectic schedules.

An official confirmation is awaited.

Highlights:

  • Part of wider plan to fight violence against women and online harm.
  • Tech firms will be forced to block such content or face heavy Ofcom fines.
  • Experts say the ban responds to medical evidence and years of campaigning.

The plan is to make possessing or distributing pornographic material that shows sexual strangulation, often called ‘choking’, illegal. This is a specific amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill. Ministers are acting on the back of a stark, independent review. That report found this kind of violence is not just available online, but it is rampant. It has quietly, steadily, become normalised.
