SRK to have a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra?

Speculations are rife in Bollywood corridors that superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come onboard to feature in a cameo in Dharma Productions’ ambitious film Brahmastra. Directed by Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) fame Ayan Mukerji, the fantasy drama already boasts of an ensemble cast including the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in lead roles.

According to an entertainment portal, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to join the cast of the film in the month of September. It will be an important cameo for the actor in the movie. SRK has not confirmed any project after the failure of his ambitious film Zero (2018). Though his name has been linked to several films in the past six months, the superstar is yet to sign any movie on the dotted line.

While he may take some more time in finalizing his next project as the main lead, fans will surely get excited to know that he has reportedly joined the star cast of Brahmastra to play a cameo in the movie. More details on his cameo are awaited.

Brahmastra, produced by Karan Johar, was earlier set to release in 2019. But now the film has been postponed to 2020 because director Ayan Mukerji needs more time to work on the movie and its heavy-duty VFX and CGI. If reports are to be believed, Brahmastra will now make its entry in theatres towards the end of 2020. However, the makers are yet to lock the official release date.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with his upcoming production ventures. He is producing two web-shows – Bard of Blood and Class of 83 – set to premiere on Netflix.
