‘Strictly Come Dancing’: Here’s how Krishnan Guru-Murthy fared on second live show

The Strictly Come Dancing 2023 live show returned on Saturday night with much excitement around every corner. Les Dennis, one of the 15 pairings, became the first contestant to leave the show on Sunday night after he scored the lowest total following a dance-off with Nikita Kanda.

Apart from the Les Dennis-Nikita Kanda dance-off, there were many moments the second live show gave viewers that would be talked about for weeks. One of them was definitely Krishnan Guru-Murthy’s endearing dance performance.

The Channel 4 broadcaster and his professional dance partner Lauren Oakley foxtrotted to “Love Really Hurts Without You” by Billy Ocean. The pair scored 20 marks for their performance.

Well, their performance may not have secured good marks, but Krishnan certainly knows how to make audiences smile with his infectious positive energy.

“A very sweet performance, and you can tell he is working hard! Definitely one of my favourites so far,” wrote a social media user.

“I just love how happy he is to be there. His smile makes me smile!” wrote another.

A third user wrote, “Lauren talking him through the whole way. Foxtrot is hard and he did so well, was rising and falling.”

“I really didn't expect Krishnan to be this good. He is good. Steadily improving, he could be a lot worse. This was a nice ballroom. Glad to see last week wasn't a fluke. I think Shirley was too picky. Sad they try to make him about the entertainment when he actually has good technique,” wrote a fourth user.

Meanwhile, Nigel Harman topped the leaderboard in the second live show with his Paso Doble performance.
