Super 30 actor Nandish Singh Sandhu reveals how was the situation on the sets after #MeToo allegations against Vikas Bahl

Nandish Singh Sandhu became a household name after he portrayed the role Veer in the serial Uttaran. After a successful stint on television, Nandish made his Bollywood debut with Vikas Bahl’s Super 30. In the movie, Nandish plays the role of Anand Kumar’s brother Pranav Kumar and his performance in the film is liked by one and all.

During the shooting of the film, Super 30 was in news because of #MeToo allegations against director Vikas Bahl. When we asked Nandish if it worried him that his debut film is embroiled in controversies, the actor said, “No, I don’t think so. But even if the thought came it just disappeared in seconds. Nobody was affected; everybody was just working towards the film. It never came on the sets that this has been printed or this has been spoken about him. It didn’t bother anybody because we were just working towards the film, everybody was doing their jobs, we were working on our characters, other departments were doing their job and we were all sure that a good film and a great film is being made because any sort of distraction would spoil the product. So, everybody was very clear as to what we need to do.”

Well, a few weeks before the release, Vikas Bahl was given a clean chit in the allegations against him. He was credited as the director of the movie.

Nandish has shared screen space with Hrithik Roshan in the film. When we asked him if he was nervous to work with Hrithik, the actor said, “Not at all. Initially when I met him, yes those thoughts were there that how is it going to be because it’s my first film so I wasn’t aware that how things would be on the set. But once we were on the sets it was very comfortable. Not even for a second, there was a fear that I was shooting with somebody who is so senior. He was into his character, I was into my character, on the sets we were just co-actors. There was no feeling that he is a big star and I am a newcomer. He was absolutely cool. In fact, he would ask me after the shot that Nandish what do you feel, was the shot good or should we do one more. It was that comfortable, we were like buddies on the set.”
