Super Fan Of The Week - Gurmeet Choudhary

Actor Gurmeet Choudhary has won audiences with his talent and became a heartthrob of fans who just can’t get enough of him. One of the many admirers is super fan Susi Susanti from Garut in Indonesia. Eastern Eye caught up with Susi to find out more.

What first connected you to Gurmeet Choudhary?


I became a super fan after seeing him in the TV serial Geet Hui Sabse Parayi in 2010.

Tell us, what made you become a super fan?

I don’t know how to answer when anyone asks what makes me a crazy fan, but certainly, my heart loves him for no reason. Since 2010, I have been a fan and love him more with each passing year. I idolise him because he is handsome, funny, kind and so much more. There may be many with the same qualities as him, but he has that something indescribable that makes my heart choose him.

Tell us about something super you have done Gurmeet?

It was when I struggled to meet him in Jakarta last September when he was in Indonesia. I heard he was in the city on the news and immediately planned to go to Jakarta from Garut. Initially, my parents didn’t allow it because it was very far away and they knew I did not know the city. But I assured them I would be safe and how big a dream this was for me. Finally, my parents allowed it and I took the 10-hour journey. After arriving in Jakarta I went through a lot of struggle and finally tracked him down, and met him.

What has been your most memorable moment?

When I met him on September 8 2018. That moment was very historic in my life. I don’t think I would ever forget it.

What is the thing you most love about Gurmeet?

I like everything about him. What I like most is when he smiles. That makes me very happy.

Which quality in Gurmeet do you most relate to?

I relate to the fact that he is humorous, fun loving, cheerful and easy to get along with.

What is your favourite work Gurmeet has done?

I like all his work. I love his social media posts, social work, personality and how thoughtful he is.

Why do you love being a super fan?

I love being his super fan because my heart chose him.
