The multi-talented Ravi Dubey has shown off his impressive versatility in a wide array of projects on television ranging from hosting to delivering winning acting performances. He has won admirers along the way including superfan Astha Bansal from Delhi in India.

Eastern Eye caught up with Astha to find out more.

Tell us, what first connected you to Ravi Dubey?

His Tum Hi Ho dance on Nach Baliye was an instant connection. Then it was his unparalleled acting in Jamai Raja. The way he played his role of Sid in the show was so convincing that it made us believe it was real.

What made you become Ravi’s super fan?

The fact that admiring him would only give me great optimism and happiness. He is literally a multi-talented man. I just love his prodigious amount of acting skills. The way he does emotional scenes is just par excellence. One can feel the pain while watching him act.

Tell us about something super you have done for Ravi?

Last year, for Eastern Eye’s 50 Sexiest Asian Men, I voted so many times in the middle of my exams with an army of seven to eight people to get him into the list.

What has been your most memorable moment?

When he followed my fan club on Instagram on my 18th birthday. Also, it’s because of him that I got my friend for life, Kainat.

What’s your favourite work of his?

Surely Jamai Raja, as he portrayed so many characters amazingly well in just one show and his TedxTalk. With his excellent foray into hosting, it would be Sabse Smart Kaun, as it is the only game show hosted so magnificently by a TV actor. We all are very proud of him.

What is the thing you most love about Ravi?

He has a plethora of talent and the way he approaches life. He is the most inspiring person you can ever come across.

Which quality in the celebrity do you most relate to?

His optimism and the way he shows the importance of self-love.

Why do you love being a super fan?

I am his fan and the way he loves his admirers makes us feel super. I will support him no matter what, because that’s what a super fan does. Ravi deserves all the love and is worthy of every applause and appreciation.
