Surbhi Chandna to appear on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to promote Sanjivani 2

Much before hitting the small screen, Star Plus’ upcoming show Sanjivani 2 has created a lot of buzz among the audience. Almost everyone television enthusiast is waiting for its premiere with bated breath.

For the unversed, Sanjivani 2, as the title suggests itself, is a reboot of Star Plus’ hit show Sanjivani which aired on the channel from 2002 to 2005. Another reason the show is garnering huge attention ahead of its premiere is the comeback of popular television actress Surbhi Chandna with it. The actress was last seen in Star Plus’ hugely popular show Ishqbaaaz. She is playing the female lead in Sanjivani 2.

If rumours are to be believed, Surbhi Chandna will be appearing on Star Plus’ leading show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai along with Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi. Chandna plays the role of Dr Ishani and it is reported that she could come in to save Kairav (Kartik and Naira’s son) from the illness he has been suffering from. The channel is yet to confirm the development though.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which prides on being one of the longest-running shows in the history of Indian television, has been the top-rated show on Star Plus. It recently topped the TRP chart leaving several leading shows of rival channels far behind.

Sanjivani 2 is scheduled to air from mid-August on Star Plus. Besides Surbhi Chandna, the medical drama series also features Namit Khanna, Mohnish Bahl, Sayantani Ghosh, Gurdeep Kohli and Ronit Roy. The show is produced by Alchemy Films.
