The film Salman Khan’s planning for Eid 2020 isn’t Veteran remake?

Ever since the news of Salman Khan opting out of celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-talked-about film Inshallah emerged, diehard fans of the superstar have been eagerly awaiting to know as to which movie Khan is planning to release on Eid 2020.

According to some industry insiders, Salman Khan is indeed having his date with theatres on Eid next year. He himself had tweeted the same a couple of days ago. However, the question still remains the same: Which film Khan is planning to release during the festival of Eid 2020.

Speculations of Kick 2 and the remake of popular South Korean crime-drama Veteran (2015) to be his next have been doing the rounds ever since Inshallah got shelved. Recently, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed that Kick 2 will not be ready for a release next year. Also, since no work on the adaptation of Veteran has begun yet, there is no chance the film will be able to enter cinemas next year.

A source in the know tells an Indian publication, "Atul Agnihotri owns the remake rights of Korean film Veteran and there has been talks about Salman working in the film. But the project which Salman Khan is planning for Eid 2020 is not the Veteran remake. Salman and Atul Agnihotri plan to collaborate but it is not happening right now. Salman is planning a completely different project for Eid 2020."

The source goes on to reveal that the forthcoming film will be an all-out action extravaganza and Salman will be seen performing high-octane action sequences in it. An official announcement is highly awaited.

The superstar, meanwhile, is looking forward to the release of his hugely anticipated movie Dabangg 3. Directed by Prabhudeva, the cop-drama also features Sonakshi Sinha and Kichcha Sudeep in principal roles. Produced by Salman Khan Films and Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 is slated to buzz into theatres on 20th December 2020.
