terrifying backdrop of the Mumbai terror attacks includes a standout performance from rising star Princy Sudhakaran.


The talented actress has followed up a winning turn in feature film The Last Color with another pivotal role that has connected strongly with audiences.

The upcoming actress is now looking forward to taking on more acting challenges and was happy to discuss her Mumbai Diaries 26/11 experience with Eastern Eye. She also spoke about her future hopes and inspirations as an actress.

What first connected you to acting?

It was my training in Bharatanatyam that initially connected me to the performing arts.

How did you feel landing a role in the web series Mumbai Diaries 26/11?

I was very elated to get a part in Mumbai Diaries 26/11. I so loved my character’s storyline and the series, that from the time I heard it, I just wanted to be a part of it.

Tell us about your character in the series?

Anju Varghese is a nurse who is compassionate and a true friend. Having served many years at the hospital, she is thoroughly committed to her work in serving others. Anju is crucial to the story. Therefore, what happens with her deeply impacts other characters in the hospital.

How was the experience of working on the show?

Getting to perform under the direction of Nikkhil Advani has left me craving for more. Overall, it was an enriching and fulfilling experience that I will always cherish.

Did you learn anything new while working on the web show?

Being a small part of this massive series alongside such brilliant actors meant that every day was a new learning experience. Just being on set, observing my co-actors, performing alongside them was like undergoing a training. This series helped me develop deeper appreciation for our medical fraternity, for their resilience and grit, especially at times of crises.

How much does the positive reviews for your performance mean to you?

It is always very encouraging to know that the audience is feeling connected to

your storyline.

Do you have a dream role?

I feel that playing a protagonist in a thriller would be really exciting.

Who would you love to work with?

I would love to work with Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti in future.

What is it that inspires you as an actress?

The ability to move someone through your performance and the opportunity

to tell a story inspire me.

What content do you enjoy watching?

I enjoy anything with a good story.
