THIS actor steps into Vinod Khanna's shoes to play Salman Khan’s father in Dabangg 3

In Dabangg and Dabangg 2, veteran actor Vinod Khanna played the role of Salman Khan’s father. But unfortunately, we won’t get to see the legendary actor in Dabangg 3 as he passed away in 2017. From the day Dabangg 3 has been announced, everyone is keen to know who will be playing the character of Prajapati Pandey. There were also reports that the movie will be made without the character of Chulbul Pandey’s father in it. However, now the makers have announced who will be seen as Prajapati Pandey in the movie.

Salman took to Twitter to inform everyone that Vinod Khanna’s brother, Pramod Khanna has been roped in to play the role of Prajapati Pandey. Salman tweeted, “Introducing Pramod Khanna . . #Dabangg3 @sonakshisinha @PDdancing.” It is a video in which Salman, Sonakshi Sinha and director Prabhudheva introduce Pramod Khanna as Prajapati Pandey.

It surely seems to be a perfect casting as who would have been a better choice than Pramod Khanna to step into the shoes of Vinod Khanna. Reportedly, Dimple Kapadia, whose character died in Dabangg, will be back in Dabangg 3 as the movie will showcase the back story of Chulbul Pandey. Salman will be losing weight for the film as in the back story of his character, the actor will be shown in his 20s.

It was said that Dabangg 3 has a love triangle, but recently, Sonakshi denied the reports. She said, "No, speculations will be there, but of course, there will be a different story and this film will have new characters as we don't want to offer the same stuff to our audience. I feel it is going to be an amazing film."

Apart from Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Pramod Khanna, Dabangg 3 will also have another actress who will be seen romancing Chulbul Pandey in the film. However, the makers are yet to announce who the actress is. The movie also stars Sudeep who plays the antagonist in the film.

Dabangg 3 is slated to release on 20th December 2019.

'Santosh' review: Feminist police drama confronts harsh truths

POLICE corruption, caste politics, and dangerous interfaith liaisons are at the heart of Santosh, a feature by British Indian filmmaker Sandhya Suri. She turns the title on its head – Santosh, regarded more widely as a male name, is the protagonist, played by the versatile Shahana Goswami.

Scarlett Johansson slams SNL’s 'gross' vagina joke: ‘It was intense. I felt like I’d pass out!'

Scarlett Johansson has finally addressed the jaw-dropping joke about her that aired during Saturday Night Live’s holiday episode in December. Her husband, Colin Jost, was made to deliver the punchline live on air, and Johansson, watching from backstage, was left stunned. In a recent interview with InStyle, she described the moment as “so gross” and admitted she couldn’t believe the show went that far.

The joke was part of the show’s annual “Weekend Update” tradition, where Jost and his co-host Michael Che write outrageous jokes for each other to read without any prior warning. This time, Che handed Jost a line that compared Johansson to a Costco roast beef sandwich in a joke about their sex life. When Jost read it aloud, the audience gasped. Meanwhile, cameras backstage caught Johansson’s reaction mouth open, clearly shocked.

Doctors urge children under 8 to avoid slushies due to glycerol risks

Children’s love for brightly coloured, sweet beverages, such as slushy ice drinks, may come with hidden dangers, according to new research that highlights the risks posed by glycerol, a common ingredient in these products. Doctors are now urging that children under eight should completely avoid slushy drinks that contain glycerol, as they may cause serious health issues, including loss of consciousness and shock.

The call for revised health advice comes in response to a recent study conducted by paediatricians in the UK and Ireland. The research, published in the journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, examined 21 cases of children aged between two and seven who required emergency treatment shortly after drinking glycerol-containing slushies. These cases, all from 2018 to 2024, involved children who became acutely ill within an hour of consuming the drinks.
