Trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika to be unveiled on December 18

Last seen on celluloid in Hansal Mehta’s Simran (2017), Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut is now gearing up for the release of her next film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.  But before the movie hits theatres, the makers will be launching the theatrical trailer of the period drama.

After receiving a stupendous response for the teaser, which was rolled out a couple of weeks ago, Zee Studio is set to unveil the trailer of the magnum opus on 18th December amid much fanfare.

Kangana Ranaut, who plays fearless freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai in the hotly anticipated movie, will attend the grand trailer launch along with the entire cast and crew of the film and, of course, media.

Manikarnika is one of the most expensive historical films made in recent times. The makers have spent like a sailor on the making of this ambitious project. To ensure that the movie reaches out to as many people as possible, the team has decided to release the period drama in Tamil and Telugu apart from Hindi.

Ahead of the release of the trailer, Kangana shared her excitement, saying, “Our team is planning an exciting, never-seen-before trailer launch!”

Vibha Chopra, Head Zee Studios international, revealed that apart from India, the movie will be releasing in many key territories across the globe. “Good stories should not be restricted to borders. A story and film as grand as this must be told to as many people as possible. With Indian Cinema becoming a growing force around the world, we are looking forward to taking the film across the globe”, she said.

Commenting on the release of the film, Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios said, “Zee Studios feels privileged to bring Manikarnika, Jhansi Ki Rani’s extraordinary story on the silver screen and will be backing it by giving it a wider release than any other film in this genre. We will be releasing the film in over 50 countries worldwide on January 25.”

Also starring Jisshu Sengupta, Atul Kulkarni and Ankita Lokhande in important roles, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is set to enter cinemas on 25th January, 2019.
