Vaani Kapoor ecstatic as War creates history at BO

Headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, Yash Raj Films’ latest outing War (2019) has turned out to be a massive success at the box-office. The Siddharth Anand directorial has emerged as the only Bollywood film to zoom past the 300-crore mark in 2019.

Powered by excellent performances, breath-taking visuals and jaw-dropping action sequences, War did not only appeal to the audience at the domestic box-office but in several international territories also.

While Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff impressed everyone with their nonpareil action prowess, actress Vaani Kapoor also managed to win many hearts with her brief but significant role in the film.

Kapoor is ecstatic after the film collected a whopping Rs. 300 crores at the domestic box-office. "It is an incredible feeling to be a part of such a successful film that has created so many records at the box-office and won hearts. I am hugely fortunate that my director thought I was perfect for the part and he gave me the opportunity to shine,” said the actress who made her silver screen debut with Yash Raj Films’ Shuddh Desi Romance in 2013.

She went on to add, "The success of the film belongs to Sid, my co-star Hrithik, Tiger, YRF and the entire cast and crew that believed in the film and wanted to make War India's biggest action extravaganza. I am delighted that I was a part of a film that has created history in Indian cinema. (I am) Super thrilled with the results and the love people have given me as well”.

Meanwhile, Vaani Kapoor is working on Yash Raj Films’ yet another upcoming project titled Shamshera. The dacoit drama stars Ranbir Kapoor as the leading man, while superstar Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist. The Karan Malhotra directorial is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in 2020.
