YRF to announce a film with SRK on 50th anniversary?

Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production houses in India, is set to clock 50 glorious years of its establishment. And to mark the grand occasion, the banner is reportedly gearing up to announce a slew of high-profile projects.

A source in the know informs an entertainment portal that one of the upcoming projects from the house of YRF will feature superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. The production house is also planning to announce projects with Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. However, cinephiles are going to be most excited for the one with Shah Rukh Khan.

Buzz has it that the untitled film with SRK will be an action entertainer to be directed by Siddharth Anand. Siddharth has recently delivered a massive hit like War (2019) with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.

“The announcements aside, they have also got the actors on board for an exclusive interview. Right from Salman to SRK and Hrithik to Katrina and Deepika, they have special messages recorded for the studio talking about their experience of working with them, remembering the studio pioneer Yash Chopra and as also talking about their next fruitful association”, said the source.

It has been more than a year since Shah Rukh Khan has not done any film. His last outing was Zero which released in 2018. The high-profile film, directed by Aanand L Rai, hit theatres with a lot of expectations but fell flat at the box-office.

If media reports are to be believed, Khan is also in talks with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for an untitled film on migration. However, the makers and the actor are yet to make any official announcement on the same.
