Zayn Malik wants to become an actor

Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik recently opened up about his future plans and said he would like to pursue a career in acting.

On being asked whether he wants to try his mettle as an actor, Malik said he was interested in acting even as a young lad.


On being asked whether he’d consider going into films, Zayn, 25, told Manchester radio station Key 103: "Never say never, right! I’d be interested in doing some acting. It’s always been something that I liked doing, even when I was growing up," he told Manchester radio stating Key 103.

"I did a few school performances and stuff. I’m not saying I’m an Oscar-level winning actor right now, but I’m sure I can go to a few classes and learn things and pick it up. It’s definitely something I’m interested in," the singer added.

In a separate interview, Malik also touched upon his love life, and said at one point he wanted to be with his former girlfriend Bella Hadid forever.

Malik, 25, was a guest on On Air With Ryan Seacrest and revealed that he wrote his latest single, Let Me, about seven to eight months ago while he wa still ina  relationship with 22-year-old model Hadid.

When he wrote Let Me, Malik said, "I was in love—and I think that's pretty evident. I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do. Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that's what I was thinking when I wrote it."

"We go through experiences so we have memories and stories and things to write down and contemplate and think about," he said. "You get to really put your experience into something. It should be remembered forever."
